Set up product add-ons during checkout
Use Product Add-Ons to sell optional extras to your attendees at the most effective moment, after they've selected their tickets but before they complete payment. Whether you want to offer merchandise, VIP upgrades, parking passes, or meal vouchers, add-ons appear as a dedicated step in the checkout flow without cluttering your main ticket selection screen.
This is useful when you want to increase average order value by surfacing relevant extras at the right time, offer different add-ons depending on the sales channel or audience, or let attendees enhance their purchase without overwhelming them during ticket selection.
How It Works
Add-ons are configured through the "Organize your Offers" panel in your Sales Channels settings. Any offer you've already created can be turned into an add-on, you simply drag it into a dedicated upsell group. Once configured, attendees will see those offers in a modal that appears between ticket selection and payment, giving them a natural opportunity to add extras before checking out.
Because the configuration is tied to a specific sales channel, you have full control over which add-ons appear where. A VIP-focused channel might show premium upgrades and backstage access, while a general admission channel could surface merchandise or parking passes.
Setting Up Add-Ons
Open your event and go to Sales Channels in the left navigation. Select the sales channel you want to configure — each channel has its own add-on setup, so you can tailor the experience per audience.
On the right side of the Sales Channels page, you'll see the Offer Organization panel. This is where you manage the structure and order of your offers for that channel. Your existing offers (tickets, products) are listed here and can be reordered by dragging and dropping.
Create an Upsell Group
At the bottom of the Offer Organization panel, click Create upsell group. This adds a new section called Upsell at the bottom of your offer list. The upsell group works differently from your regular offers: anything placed here won't appear in the main ticket selection screen. Instead, these offers are shown to buyers in a dedicated modal that appears right before checkout.
Add Offers to the Upsell Group
Drag any existing offer from your list into the upsell drop zone. You can place merchandise, upgrades, vouchers, or any other product you've configured. The order in which you place them determines the order in which they'll appear in the add-on modal.
If you haven't created the product you want to use as an add-on yet, click Manage offers at the top of the panel to create or edit your offers first, then come back to drag them into the upsell group.
Save Your Changes
Once you've placed your add-ons, click Save Changes at the top of the Offer Organization panel. Your upsell group is now live for that sales channel.
Per-Channel Configuration
Each sales channel has its own Offer Organization panel, which means you can configure different add-ons for different channels. To set up different add-ons per channel, simply repeat the setup process on each sales channel where you want to offer extras.
In Summary
Product Add-Ons give you a way to surface relevant extras at the moment attendees are most receptive, without disrupting the core ticket selection experience. Set up is handled entirely through drag-and-drop in the Offer Organization panel, with per-channel control so you can tailor the add-on experience to each audience.
